About
Maria Smirnova is an interdisciplinary technologist and designer with a background in Architecture from the University of Waterloo. She is the Founder and CEO of TaskMapper, a venture rethinking conventional approaches to productivity through research-backed systems that address exhaustion and work-life balance.
Her experience spans leadership roles across technology and operations — including COO at Infortech Global, Head of Strategy and Systems at BlueMind.App, and President of Iterra Advanced R&D. At the University of Waterloo, she served on the Waterloo Engineering Endowment Foundation (WEEF) Board of Directors and led creative design for WATonomous, the university’s autonomous vehicle team.
Maria brings systems thinking, architectural design methodology, and deep expertise in the relationship between technology, work, and human wellbeing.
